You’ll probably get a variety of answers on this one, but when I am working on interior painting, I will do the ceilings first, walls, and then the trim.

The room’s surfaces should be painted in this order:

  1. If you are going to prime, prime the ceiling first, then the trim and walls;
  2. Paint the ceiling
  3. Paint the baseboard trim, crown molding, etc
  4. Paint the windows.
  5. Paint the door and door trim
  6. Paint the walls

By following these tips, your house painting project will go a lot smoother.
