  • Painting Tips

    • Did you receive a written estimate?
Never use a painter who can’t give you an estimate. An estimate is useful to compare different painting companies, not just to stay within your budget. The scope of the painting should be clear in the estimate and the estimate should include a list of all the areas to be painted, the number of coats, and special surface preparation that might be needed.
    • Is the job to be paid for only after substantial completion?
When house painters ask for significant payment before painting is finished, it is usually a sign of bad credit or low cashflow. Either or both could lead to problems down the road. We do not ask for full payment until your are satisfied with the results after the painting is done and highly recommend choosing a painter who does the same.
    • Are quality paints and supplies going to be used?
The use of quality paint can have an impact on the results. You don’t need to know everything, but make sure you know what’s going on the walls of your home!
    • Does the contractor offer a warranty?
When a contractor offers a warranty, you know that they believe in themselves and will be around to back it up over time.
